What we buy
Call or pop in early on 1st November for an appointment to sell to us this month.
Isabelle will be buying in best brand (Gap, Monsoon, Osh Kosh, Mini Boden, Fat Face etc) boys and girls clothes for 6m - 4y only. She will also be buying in strictly limited equipment - bumbos, grobags and baby carriers. In preparation for Christmas Isabelle will be buying in high quality books and toys
We are fast tracking designer brands - so you can bring designer clothes to store any time, Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm. We will get you an offer on fast track asap.
Once appointments have gone we will not be booking appointments again until December 1st.. and will update here what we need for that month.
Anything that we buy must be:
- Made by ‘built to last’ brands. From the designers (e.g. Bugaboo, Ralph Lauren, Burberry) to the special (e.g. Jigsaw, Monsoon, White Company) to those great basics (e.g. Gap, Osh Kosh)
- In great condition. We are often sold things that haven't been used! The item must look fantastic and have plenty more life in it.
- Spotlessly clean. Looks so clean you would buy it from us!
- Fashionable. Great brands means great designs.
- Organised. Ideally neatly folded in boxes or crates as plastic bags crease everything.
- Safe. We conduct safety checks.
Here are some other tips on what we buy (it varies month to month according to what we already have in stock):
- Seasonal Clothing: Newborn to six yr olds - beyond that they tend to take you shopping..No shoes as we can't fit them properly. Summer clothing is bought from March to the end of July, otherwise we buy autumn/winter stock.
- Toys: Infant toys, toddler toys, preschool toys, outdoor toys, puzzles and games, walkers, bikes, rattles, little cars, ride ons, wooden toys.
- Equipment: the travel cots, carriers, bouncers, swings, playpens and high chairs.
- Books, CDs and DVDs: we will buy bestsellers in great condition. No videos please.
We don't buy:
1. Buggies - we don't have the room to do these properly..and we prefer to focus on doing clothing, toys and equipment which we can do really well.
2. Car Seats - we can't safety check them adequately
3. Shoes - we can't fit them properly in-store
3. Videos - becoming redundant quickly!
4. Things that make you go 'ewww' - breast pumps, bottles, washable nappies etc..
