So - drum roll please - Alice's favourite brownie recipe (mmmmm!!!).
A very nice gift for friends or just for pigging out on yourselves.
Gooey Chocolate Brownies
Makes max 48
375g unsalted butter
375g quality dark chocolate
6 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
500g caster sugar
225g plain flour
1 tsp salt
150g chopped walnuts
150g white chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 1800. Line a large tray or brownie pan with foil or baking parchment. Melt the butter and chocolate together in a large pan. In a bowl beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla.
When the chocolate mixture has melted, let it cool a bit before beating in the eggs and sugar and then the nuts and flour. Beat to combine smoothly and then add the white chocolate chips and walnuts before scraping into the lined pan.
Bake for about 25 minutes..but keep checking from about 18 minutes. The brownies are ready when the top is a pale brown speckle but the middle is still dark dense and gooey.
Yum.
